This is a real adventurous trek which leads the trekkers to many of the farms and rural villages still untouched by modern civilization, and into fascinating country where the utmost tranquil and serene magnificent forests of rhododendron, oaks and pines and scenic high passes exist. It straddles the border with Sikkim. One can feel quite strenuous sometimes while crossing the passes, but for every hard effort you will be rewarded with brilliant scenery as we head higher towards the windswept rugged terrain’s with awesome views of the towering peaks of the Kanchanjunga massif under a clear wide blue sky.
The return journey can be made by an alternative route till the trail joins at Suketar in Taplejung for the last camp of the trek. Located on the eastern border of Nepal with India, Mt. Kanchanjunga at an elevation of 8585 m is the third highest peak in the world. Only recently opened to trekkers, the Kanchanjunga region with its treasuries of snow is also home of an unusually large concentration of Nepal’s birds and wildlife. The mountain is held sacred and early expedition was not allowed to proceed all the way to the top so that they would not step on the sacred ground.
